Talent Identification

UFA place a strong emphasis on player recruitment ensuring we identify the best local talented and gifted players within grassroots clubs and schools.

Talent ID also requires our coaching staff to recommend young players to training centres that best meets their technical and physical needs.

Players identified from grassroots clubs are initially invited into one of our Development Centre’s whereby they receive 2 complimentary trial sessions.

Our objective is to bridge the gap between grassroots football and professional academies by providing a comprehensive development programme for intermediate and advanced players.

Children within our football programme are provided with a high standard of elite coaching from coaches with experience of academy football including ex-professional footballers. Players that are identified for the Elite Centre have the option to train Wednesday evenings. Children that play within our Development Centre programme are regularly invited into the advanced environments for screenings and to assess suitability for academy football.
